Basant Panchmi
It falls on the fifth day (Panchami Tithi) of the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) of the month of Magha. This day is primarily dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, art, and music. On this day, students place their books, musical instruments, and art supplies at the Goddess’s feet to seek the gift of knowledge. In the year 2027, Basant Panchami falls on February 11 (Thursday). Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, is worshipped on this day.

Shardiy Navratri
During Navratri—particularly in South and East India (such as West Bengal and Odisha)—Goddess Saraswati is specially worshipped on the final three days (Saptami, Ashtami, and Navami); this occasion is also celebrated as Mahanavami or Saraswati Puja. This three-day festival will be observed here as well, taking place on October 18, 19, and 20, 2026 (Saptami, Ashtami, and Navami).
